It’s safe to say that Super Meat Boy Forever, the sequel to Super Meat Boy, won’t be free. The upcoming platformer is set to release in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and iOS/Android. While we don’t have a price yet, a Twitter user recently asked the developer, Team Meat, if Super Meat BoyForever would be free.

Super Meat Boy is a highly praised platformer that cost 800MP/$10. However, it appears it may be on sale currently so that price may rise to 1200/$15.

Super Meat Boy is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux. Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old needles. Let’s start with what’s the same: Dr. Fetus is still a jerk, gameplay is super challenging but fair, there are tight controls and great levels and you will die…a lot.

Now what’s different: Meat Boy and Bandage Girl have a little baby named Nugget (awww). Dr Fetus has kidnapped Nugget, forcing Meat Boy and Bandage Girl to rescue her. Levels are dynamically constructed based on difficulty. Each time you beat a level, it reconstructs into a harder version of itself (up to a point…we aren’t gods). Meat Boy and Bandage Girl are no longer defenseless, they can punch and kick their enemies. And, the biggest difference, the controls controls are now two buttons, you have a jump, a jump attack, a dive, and a slide.

The much anticipated sequel to Super Meat Boy

Dr. Fetus is being a jerk again (as he does), but this time he's kidnapped Meat Boy and Bandage Girl's adorable little baby girl, named Nugget! Meat Boy and Bandage Girl will be put through the grinder (THAT ISN'T A MEAT JOKE SHUT UP) as they jump, slide, punch and kick through 6 chapters containing randomly constructed levels that increase in difficulty each time you rank them up. Beat a level, it ranks, next time you play it you get a harder version of that level until you eventually master it! There are bosses, secrets, dying, awesome music, beautiful art, and dying! Also if that isn't enough, there is a Dark World with extremely hard levels for those of you that like that sort of thing.

Features:

• Jump, Slide, Punch and Kick through 6 chapters filled with randomly constructed levels. Beat a level, it ranks up, next time you play it you get a harder version of that level.
